Volunteer Opportunities - October 5-7, 2016

Would you like to have a part in making the 2016 WI SHRM State Conference a total success? If so, we welcome and encourage you to volunteer in one of several areas throughout our three day conference. Volunteering is a great opportunity for both Student and Professional members.  With just a small volunteer role from individuals like you, the conference will be a success!  We could not run this conference without all of our volunteers.  We hope you will consider volunteering this year. 

As a token of our appreciation, all of our volunteers will receive a discount off any books purchased onsite at the SHRM Store. Vouchers will be provided when you check in at the Volunteer desk.     
 
Attendee registration is now open and remain open until the end of September.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss volunteer options in more detail, please contact the Volunteer Coordinators below

We will need Volunteers in the following areas:
 
•  Programming - Be an usher and/or introduce speakers during break-out sessions
•  SHRM Booths - Assist with the SHRM Book Store and SHRM Foundation
•  Registration - Assist with the registration process by working at the Volunteer and/or Registration desks
•  Accommodations – Assisting with exhibitor lunches and/or directing attendees during meal times
•  Activities - Greet and direct attendees during evening entertainment
 



Volunteering is a great way for to:
 

•  Be involved - as the future HR leaders, volunteering will be a great opportunity to see what the HR world has to offer
•  Network -  with more than 1,200 attendees at the conference, volunteering provides an opportunity to build your network and meet new people
•  Gain experience - volunteering looks great to future employers, as well as provides an opportunity to do something you may not have thought of doing before
•  Provide assistance - by the end of the conference, you will be glad you volunteered.
