SUMMARY The Director of Human Resources – Operations will provide inspirational leadership and direction for the HR function across our multi-site, 24/7 manufacturing facilities in Plymouth and Antigo, WI (600+ Team Members). This individual will collaborate with plant leaders and HR Centers of Excellence to oversee and support successful execution of HR programs and processes (e.g., staffing/talent acquisition, training/development, and retention) aligned with Sartori’s mission, values, and goals. This individual will provide input from a budgetary, planning and management standpoint. This will require big thinking, using data to guide decisions, and challenging current state to make improvements. The Director of HR – Operations will report to the Vice President of Human Resources.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strategic HR Leadership: Collaborate with plant leaders to understand key business challenges, opportunities, and risks. Serve as the primary liaison between operations and HR Centers of Excellence to develop and implement HR strategies, programs and solutions that support the company’s mission, values, and goals and a positive Team Member experience.
Team Leadership/Direct Reports: Lead, develop and engage a dynamic team of HR and Safety professionals, fostering a culture of growth, integrity, collaboration, and HR excellence.
Leadership Coaching: Work with key stakeholders to assess leadership challenges and capability gaps, and coach leaders to improve and enhance their leadership, management and talent development abilities grounded in Sartori’s culture and values.
Team Member Relations: Provide consultative coaching and guidance on Team Member relations, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment with consistent application of company policies.
Change Management: Drive change by ensuring proper teamwork, transparency, and communication plans are executed in support of organizational programs, policies, initiatives, or activities.
Culture of Safety: Drives a best-in-class culture of safety where ownership of health and safety is embraced by all Team Members.
HR Metrics: Analyze and report on HR and Safety metrics, sharing insights on trends and recommendations to improve the Team Member experience, performance, and retention.
Policies & Procedures: Implement policies and procedures that improve the company’s overall competitive edge and Team Member engagement. Create a process for regular review and updates to policies and procedures.
Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure HR & Safety policies and practices follow all federal, state, and local regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Take ownership of streamlining, standardizing, and centralizing processes, implementing industry best practices, and leveraging modern technology to optimize and automate top-tier HR and Safety services.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, required. Master’s degree preferred
HR Certification desired (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
 
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, HR strategy, change management or related work, required
5+ years of experience managing and leading high-performing teams, required
Experience in a manufacturing or production setting, required
Experienced leading and/or overseeing safety teams or programs, preferred
Experience working with HR Information Systems (e.g., UKG), preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 
Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10-20%).
Having a presence in the manufacturing facilities on a regular basis is required.
Off-shift work will be required as needs arise.
