Description: Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with well-developed interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain confidential information, effectively present information, see challenges and suggest creative solutions, make informed decisions based on the company’s mission and values, and possess strong attention to detail. This position is part of the firm’s administrative support team and reports to the CEO. This multi-talented person will wear many hats, with core responsibilities being in Human Resources. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Benefits Administration and Annual Renewal
1.)    Enroll employees and make changes in employee benefits plans/elections
2.)    Answer questions about benefits eligibility and plan benefits and coverage. Communicate with carriers to resolve questions or problems
3.)    Administer COBRA procedures to ensure timely and accurate processing of information according to procedures
4.)    Participate in annual benefits renewal and planning meeting with insurance agents
5.)    Prepare and provide census information used for getting insurance quotes
6.)    Gain an understanding of all employee benefit plans including but not limited to: 401(K) Plan, ESOP, group health and dental plans, vision, LTD and Disability plans, vacation/PTO accrual plans and service award program
7.)    Prepare various reports as needed
8.)    Review and authorize payment of monthly invoices

Recruiting, Interviewing and New Employee Onboarding

1.)    Responsible for all applicant materials and correspondence through the hiring cycle
2.)    Respond to questions from applicants
3.)    Schedule interviews
4.)    New Employee Orientations
5.)    Post/write job postings for the company website
6.)   Conduct all applicable employment checks (i.e., background screenings, drug testing, employment references, etc.)
7.)    Maintain applicant database and active applicant files
8.)    Monitor and maintain corporate social media pages
9.)   Maintain communication with candidates during the recruitment process including sending new hire welcome communication and coordinating first day activities
 
Update Employee Handbook/Reporting Requirements

1.)    Update and distribute employee handbook annually
2.)    Ensure compliance with state and federal employment and labor laws
3.)    File EEO-1 Report and any other federal reporting required by client contracts
4.)    Ensure compliance with client contract requirements for security clearance including scheduling drug screening, fingerprints, etc.

Employee, General Administrative and Technical Support

1.)    Plan and organize company sponsored events and parties
2.)    Act as a back-up for processing bi-weekly payroll
3.)    Complete employee changes in payroll system as necessary
4.)    Provide support to employees with HR related questions as necessary
5.)    Complete all employment verifications for past and current employees
6.)    Conduct exit interviews and provide relevant information to leadership team
7.)    Serve as an advisor to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies and procedures and provide interpretation to maintain organizational consistency
8.)    Assist supervisors and management with documentation requirements
9.)   Complete special HR projects as assigned
10.)  Actively participate in assigned meetings/committees
11.)  Run and distribute monthly benefits accrual and comp time reports

Qualifications:
·         A minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources role showing progressive experience
·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent experience
·         Ability to work independently
·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required
·         Knowledge of general employment laws and compliance practices
·         SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
·         Excellent written and other communications skills
·         Experience with marketing principles, promotional strategies, and social media
