Description: Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) is a $2.2 billion integrated health system serving Wisconsin with about 10,000 employees and over 1,200 providers comprising 86 specialties, health plan, and research and education programs. The Director of Compensation and Benefits manages compensation and benefit programs to ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees and to support the organization's compensation philosophy. Plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. Manages the position classification and job evaluation process as well as the annual merit pay and wage increase program.  Ensures through audit and practice that the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) is in compliance with state and federal laws pertaining to wage and hour laws, benefit plans, and other regulations governing employer/employee relationships.

Requires:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in Human Resources management, in the compensation/benefits area
  • Thorough knowledge of government regulations pertaining to employment practices, compensation, state/federal labor laws, and benefit administration
 
Preferred/Optional Experience:
  • CCP certification by WorldatWork or a SHRM certification desired
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Workday HRIS
