We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Benefits Assistant. As a member of the Human Resource Service Center, the HR Benefits Assistant is primarily responsible for reviewing, coding, processing, entry and auditing of employee benefit applications and transactions. The Assistant serves as the primary contact for employee, visitor and customer inquiries via all forms of communication. Duties are performed under general supervision. The incumbent will provide comprehensive, professional customer service, accurate and timely data entry, information dissemination and audit functions. Perform all duties in accordance with the HR competencies, Human Resources strategic plan and related initiatives, and in compliance with UWHC, local, state and federal rules, regulations and guidelines. Additionally, the Assistant will be required to provide administrative and customer service support in the areas of data entry/reporting, phone support, record management, filing, Benefits, HR clerical support and front desk reception as needed. The minimum qualifications include two years experience in an office environment with preferred experience of one year administrative experience in human resources; one year experience working with data entry for employee benefits and/or payroll; with one year experience working in a complex, large organization, knowledge of or experience with the Wisconsin Retirement System, and experience working with a HRIS system; preferably PeopleSoft.
