First Weber, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and Wisconsin’s leading real estate firm with 190 employees and 1,200 real estate agents in 65+ offices statewide, currently has an opening for a Human Resources Manager.  We are part of HomeServices of America, the nation's leader in residential real estate home services, providing one-stop shopping and services including brokerage, mortgage financing, settlement services, property and casualty insurance, and other products to help buyers and sellers achieve their home ownership dreams.
 
What We Are Looking For:
Our Human Resources Manager implements human resources policies, programs, and services that drive organizational and employee performance and a productive work environment across the organization. Key areas of focus include HR administration, benefits, compensation, staffing/recruiting, employee relations, performance management, management consultation, policy guidance, training, payroll, compliance and safety. The Human Resources Manager will partner closely with HomeServices corporate HR staff to carry out corporate-wide programs and initiatives at a local level. Our target applicant will be able to execute hands-on activities while also having the experience and acumen to contribute to the management team and provide employee relations support. 
 
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources
  • 5+ years’ HR management experience
  • Experience in both small-medium size companies and subsidiary-parent corporate environment helpful
  • Solid knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels in the organization
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Web-based programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
