| Description: | TMG by Magellan Health is looking for an Instructional Designer who is responsible for collaborating with teams to continuously empower and develop TMG’s people resources through the creation and cultivation of a learning organization that supports both the art and the science of TMG’s mission through the organization’s Strategies for Success. The Instructional Designer is responsible for the expansion, modification, or development of new eLearning and course design tools, to manage employee information, learning records and learning opportunities, and requirements in the Learning Management System (LMS) and other L&D systems, and to conduct thorough needs analyses to ensure effective learning and development programs and services are offered.
Essential Functions:

Collaborate with others to design, develop, implement, and maintain online modules to be administered via the LMS and/or SharePoint.

Adapt instructor-led training courses into eLearning modules.

Ensure program design accommodates the identified delivery method while enhancing the adult learning experience supported by needs analysis and intradepartmental collaboration.

Research new technologies that have potential value for online and hybrid learning.

Develop new eLearning tools/topics/training/methods to meet organizational learning needs or to improve work flow, reviewing and amending materials as needed.

Manage assigned projects to meet deadlines.

Provide LMS support, training, and data integrity by researching and resolving LMS problems, performing scheduled activities, recommending solutions and organizing training systems, procedural manuals, and supporting documentation, and uses tools to address current and future L&D tracking needs.

Manage employee information, learning records, and learning opportunities and requirements in the LMS and other systems by fielding questions, sending communications, running reports, maintaining records of 1:1 training, customized sessions, and other L&D offerings not managed in LMS.

Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data from other systems.

Deliver effective programs and services to meet the organization’s strategic objectives by preparing and facilitating a variety of L&D sessions for staff, providing “just-in-time” training based on immediate team or individual needs.

Manage the TMG Resource Library on TMG’s intranet site.

Develop and redesign new and existing materials and media for a cohesive content flow and to visually represent the TMG brand.

Participate in meetings and discussions, and completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
-
3+ years of instructional design experience with proven ability to design and build innovative, creative content, including online programs, job aids, web sites and instructor materials.

Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design theory and models, learning styles, knowledge management practices and performance improvement models

Experience with multimedia authoring, graphic creation tools and learning management systems.

Effective interpersonal and negotiating skills

Excellent written and communication skills

Expert in use of Microsoft Products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Experience with remote training using asynchronous meeting tools such as NetMeeting, Webex, or LiveMeeting
