Description: SUMMARY

This position is responsible for administering benefits along with driving our Wellness Program. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Facilitate planning and develop company health and welfare benefits programs and administration. Vast knowledge and understanding of self-funded health plans. 
  • Understand regulations relative to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and ACA. Ensure plans are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Conduct new hire benefit orientations and process life qualifying events. Provide guidance on team member enrollment decisions, assist with enrollment in HRIS system and help resolve benefit service issues. 
  • Maintain strong relationship with benefit carriers and broker. 
  • Coordinate annual Personal Health Assessments, Benefit Fairs, and Open Enrollment. 
  • Develop benefit communications and ensure all health and benefit plan information is up-to-date and accessible to all team members. 
  • Administration of disability benefits, document benefit procedures, and assist with plan audits. 
  • Facilitate company wellness program including developing new wellness initiatives and driving current programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 
  • 3-plus years related experience in benefits administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • PHR or SPHR preferred

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

  • HRIS experience with Ultimate Software (UltiPro) a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Vast knowledge of health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
