Description: Administrative Salary Range C44 with a starting annual salary between $71,376-$89,220 depending on qualifications and experience.

Madison College provides a generous benefits package. Newly hired Administrators serve a one year probationary period.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in building collaborative work relationships that focus on customer-centered service and continuous improvement throughout Madison College. This position is fully dedicated to internal clients, their needs and duties within designated units and serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues.
This position acts as an employee champion and change agent. This position seeks to develop and implement better talent management practices, innovate, and integrate solutions. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. This position requires proactive communication with our HR department and business units. The Human Resources Department is responsible for advancing the College’s mission and vision. The value added of the business partner is in deep knowledge of the internal clients, key employees and business processes that reflect the College’s mission, vision and value.

The following duties are typically expected of this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned by the President.

1. Partners with College Administrators regularly to support the business unit.
2. Provides counsel on performance management issues (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, terminations, and appraisals), conflict management and change management and manages performance assessment practices.
3. Investigates and responds to employee relations issues.
4. Advocates and promotes strategies that will enhance cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity, as well as supports policies and programs relating to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity.
5. Prepares and presents training activites related to general human resources needs, i.e. employee relations, policy and interpretation, performance management, etc.
6. Recommends and assists with the development of new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
7. Works collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to develop and implement staffing plans and activities. Acts as a backup to the Talent Acquisition Specialist for assigned business units by performing full life-cycle recruiting.
8. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
9. Conducts exit interviews and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
10. Works collaboratively with the benefits and compensation team members to administer pay levels and administers Family Medical Leave.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a closely related field.

2. Six (6) years (12,000 hours) of experience as a Human Resources Generalist/Specialist/Business Partner/Manager role with direct experience in:
• Full-life cycle recruitment for all levels within an organization
• Employee/Labor Relations
• Talent Acquisition and/or
• Diversity/inclusion initiatives

3. Professional Certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SPHR or IPMA certification) or the ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire.
