• State Director-Elect

The State Director-Elect works in conjunction with the State Director, during the State Director’s last term of office, in order to provide a smooth efficient transition period.

Responsible To:
State Director

Responsibilities:  

  1. Attend all State Council meetings, actively participating in Council matters.
  2. Act as backup to the State Director and preside over Council events as necessary.
  3. Promote the Council and the profession by personal appearances and speaking engagements before SHRM chapters and other organizations.
  4. Work on special assignments as directed.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by State Director.

Requirements:

  • SHRM member in good standing required.
  • Current year Council membership required.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Term:
Serves a one-year term beginning with the first day of January ending the last day of December in the last year of the State Director's term of office.

Joanne Krueger, SHRM-CP, PHR is the Director, Human Resources Business Partner for Aurora Health Care serving Waukesha and Jefferson counties. Joanne delivers people solutions that strengthen the Aurora culture and enable a high performance organization.  Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin-area health care provider and a national leader in efforts to improve health care quality.  Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.  Aurora is Wisconsinís most comprehensive health care provider and the stateís largest private employer servicing 1.2 million patients every year. 

Joanne has over 20 years of human resources experience in the healthcare and consumer products industries. Before joining Aurora Health Care, Joanne enjoyed 11 years at Planned Parenthood of WI and 14 years with MillerCoors, formerly Miller Brewing Company. Joanne is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) since 1997, and currently serves as State Director elect.  Previously she served as WI State Council SHRM District Director-Southeast 2012-2014 and two terms as President of Metro Milwaukee SHRM from 2008-2010.  Joanne earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Management degree from Cardinal Stritch University and is a certified Targeted Selection Administrator/Trainer from Development Dimensions International.
