• State Director-Elect

The State Director-Elect works in conjunction with the State Director, during the State Director’s last term of office, in order to provide a smooth efficient transition period.

Responsible To:
State Director

Responsibilities:  

  1. Attend all State Council meetings, actively participating in Council matters.
  2. Act as backup to the State Director and preside over Council events as necessary.
  3. Promote the Council and the profession by personal appearances and speaking engagements before SHRM chapters and other organizations.
  4. Work on special assignments as directed.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by State Director.

Requirements:

  • SHRM member in good standing required.
  • Current year Council membership required.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Term:
Serves a one-year term beginning with the first day of January ending the last day of December in the last year of the State Director's term of office.

Bio:
 
Katie joined Kelly Services in 1999.  Throughout her tenure with the organization she has served as Account Representative, City Manager, and National Implementation Manager.  In 2008, Katie assumed her current role as District Manager overseeing the development, service, and people management of the operations in Eau Claire.   Katie has been actively involved in SHRM serving as VP of Membership, VP of Programming, and President of the Chippewa Valley SHRM chapter and as Northwest District Director for the WI SHRM State Council for two years.  In addition, Katie serves on the Junior League of Eau Claire Board of Directors and is an active Junior Achievement volunteer and speaker.   Katie received her B.S. in Organizational Communication from Winona State University in Minnesota and her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.
