Description: Develops, implements and maintains the total reward strategy for the organization which includes compensation, benefits, wellness, recognition, and FMLA/LOA functions. Support and coach HR Team Members and Leaders in the application and usage of the organization’s procedures and standards. The intent of total rewards is to align with corporate strategies, ensure market competitiveness and advance retention of high potential talent for the organization.  

 

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

  • Research, analyze, design, implement, and administer competitive, cost-effective total rewards programs for all team members including compensation, health, welfare, retirement, base pay, incentives, and other rewards, in alignment with the company’s strategic plan and vision ensuring it is a recruiting and retention tool while also being fiscally responsible.
  • Research and analyze total rewards programs to improve current offerings, processes and procedures; recommend changes and enhancements as needed.  
  • Be hands on and available to resolve employees' questions and issues regarding benefits and offerings.
  • Partner with benefits broker and provider. Drive and own this relationship.
  • Stay abreast on legislation, industry standards, compliance requirements incorporating standards into policies.
  • Responsible for the overall audit of benefit plans for compliance with plan documents, policies, and government regulations (ex. ERISA, ACA, FMLA, ADAAA, and other legislative requirements; coordinate preparation of regulatory filings with federal and state agencies, including IRS, DOL, and other regulatory agencies).
  • Lead benefits administration system and technology enhancements in HRIS.
  • Develop pay grades and ranges and lead the update of all job descriptions to reflect the desired structure for all positions.
  • Recommend wage and salary increase budgets; maintain and update salary structures accordingly, and lead the annual merit process. Participate in wage surveys, as required.
  • Educate and train HR Team, Leaders and Team Members, as needed, on our compensation methodologies, etc.  
  • Develop and maintain leave of absence programs to support team members during work absences, ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws. Administer these programs.
  • Lead Team Member recognition programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
