Description: Position Summary:
Employee Benefits Corporation is currently seeking positive, collaborative, customer-oriented candidates for a Senior Human Resources Generalist position.  The Senior Human Resources Generalist partners closely with the Human Resources team and management in developing and implementing Human Resources policies, programs and benefits that support the goals and objectives of the organization.  This true generalist position affords candidates the opportunity to carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas:  employment, employee relations and engagement, training and development, compensation and compliance. 
 
This position is required to be on-site in our Middleton, WI office approximately 1-2 days per week for employee onboarding and occasional meetings/trainings.  The remaining days can be worked remotely if desired.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as a consultative resource to internal customers to manage, guide and resolve employee relations issues
  • Coordinate all aspects of performance management systems and processes
  • Recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer and employee relationship to promote a high level of employee engagement
  • Gather and analyze employee feedback through a variety of survey methods and feedback channels
  • Coach managers to further develop their leadership skills
  • Assist with or lead company-wide committees focused on employee events and engagement
  • Track and analyze new hire, turnover and exit interview feedback and make recommendations for improvements
  • Provide training on Human Resources related topics and initiatives across the organization
  • Actively participate in all aspects of recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees
  • Compensation administration including market research and pricing, and salary survey participation
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment laws and legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures and serves as a subject matter expert in policy guidance and interpretation across the organization
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; may be substituted with four years relevant experience
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, with specific experience in employee relations, working on employee engagement initiatives, compensation administration and recruiting)
  • Previous experience conducing objective, thorough investigations into employment matters
  • Previous experience delivering training HR on related topics
  • Detailed knowledge of state and federal employment laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Fair Employment, Title VII)
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and leaders across the organization
  • Experience preparing Human Resources related correspondence, policies and presentations
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working with HRIS system
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Human Resources Certification
  • Previous experience in employee-owned company
