Description: Oak Park Place is hiring! This is an exciting opportunity with a growing company. We have 9 facilities located in Wisconsin, 1 in Iowa and 1 in Minnesota, we are looking for a VP of Human Resources to help support these centers. As a smaller company, we cater to our resident’s needs, and take pride in providing an employee friendly work environment.  We care for our residents through people.  This position is critical a member to lead the charge for a fully staffed, trained, happy and resident focused organization.
 
What you’ll be doing:

  • Forecast talent needs in every area of the business and insure that staffing plans and resources are appropriately aligned to execute the staffing plan.
  • Assess the organization’s talent and skill sets and advise management on how best to develop their teams.  An emphasis should be placed on retention of team members.  Quickly rectifying issues and avoiding termination.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities and events to build employee morale.  Our goal is to make OPP an employer of choice.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or similar field
  • Ten years Human Resources experience showing progressive responsibilities and oversight of an HR Department.
  • SPHR, PHR, or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.
  • Five years’ experience in the health care industry
