Opportunity Inc. is seeking a Human Resource Manager who is responsible for overseeing the HRIS, training management system as well as other Human Resource related responsibilities such as recruiting, FMLA, Unemployment cases, Workers Compensation, investigations, employee development, benefits, and ACA compliance. The Human Resource Manager oversees all activities of the Human Resource department including supervision of the Human Resource Coordinator position. 
  • Provide consultative HR services to managers and staff in the areas of employee relations, performance evaluations, compensation, benefits, and employment law
  • Lead, coach, and develop the leadership team to ensure that they are knowledgeable to handle complex, challenging issues, and activities ensuring minimal legal exposure
  • Oversee all people movement transactions: new hires, terminations, transfers, leave of absences, FMLA etc.
  • Responsible for reviewing, approving, and denying all Leave of Absence requests
  • Provide quarterly turnover report to HR Committee and Board
  • Actively participate on HR Committee quarterly
  • Stay up to date on current HR trends
  • Maintain Civil Rights plan and Civil Rights Compliance
  • Adhere to and support the “Core Values” of the organization while performing essential job duties, functions, and representing Opportunity Inc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Executive Director
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to be successful in this position.
 
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources preferred
  • 3-4 years of general human resource experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems, FMLA, ACA, UI, WC, and EE benefits
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal and caregiver background check 
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including drug test, physical evaluation, and 2 Step TB Test.
