Workforce Readiness Update - September 2021
In February of this year, the SHRM Foundation partnered with the USAA launched the Veterans “Ambassador” initiative to promote hiring of Veterans around the country. Bob Von Der Linn, WI SHRM Director of Workforce Readiness is leveraging the Ambassador model and is ready to launch a road show that will present an overview of, and provide supporting materials for, all the SHRM Foundation initiatives:
· Veterans@Work / USAA Ambassador Program
· Getting Talent Back to Work
· Employing Abilities@Work
· Emerging Talent
· Aging Workforce
· D, E & I
Bob will be contacting chapter leaders soon to schedule presentations (live & virtual) with local chapter boards. The goal is two-way sharing of National & State-wide materials as well as contact information with local chapter leadership & members, that will enable every chapter to set and achieve Workforce Readiness goals that are appropriate for their local chapter and community.
