Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Counsels employees, managers and supervisors regarding change and conflict management.
  • Works with Manufacturing and Union leadership to foster a continuous improvement culture in our manufacturing facilities.
  • Responsible for grievance and contract administration.
  • Investigates employee complaints, inappropriate conduct, and performance issues.
  • Supports and fosters safe work environment for all employees.
  • Recommends and issues disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal employment laws.
  • Responsible for the hiring process for both hourly and salaried positions in the plant.
  • Processes FMLA paperwork and ensures company is compliant with FMLA regulations.
  • Assist with weekly Tru Track as needed.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to interact positively with employees with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to handle conflict with poise, professionalism, and tact.
  • MS Office proficiency Excel, Word, and Power Point is required. Excel skills must include writing formulas, designing/analyzing spreadsheets, and creating charts/graphs.
  • Oracle, Discoverer, and TruTrack skills are a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a Labor Relations role.
  • General knowledge of State and Federal employment laws are required.
