Description: Oakwood Village University Woods is a continuing care retirement community set amid nearly 30 acres of wooded grounds that include a nine-acre nature preserve. Our campus HR team prides itself on our innovative and collaborative approach to HR and has an exciting opportunity available for an exceptional and energetic Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will provide HR expertise and support on a variety of HR-related matters, including, but not limited to: full-cycle recruiting, FMLA administration, coaching employees and managers, compliance, and employee relations. 1. Manage and implement full-cycle recruiting to include promoting, posting, screening, reference checks, hiring, drug testing, orientation, and HRIS and other hiring system entry. Partner with the hiring manager to identify qualified applicants and control the 
hiring process. Attend off-site job fairs. Plan and facilitate on-site job fairs. 
2. Administer all aspects of FMLA. Serve as the subject matter expert on Wisconsin and Federal leave of absence law. When appropriate, coordinate leave with other leave-related benefits and programs such as short term disability, long term disability, and income continuance.
3. Drive, promote, and support all employee recognition and appreciation programs and activities to include the campus-wide Thrive Committee events and business-unit events.
4. Establish a reputation of a trusted advisor through interaction with employees within the assigned business units and by timely and effectively responding to employee questions, issues, and complaints. 
5. Establish and preserve a consultative relationship with supervisors and managers regarding employee discipline, company policies, procedures, and practices, union contract, employment laws and regulations, and employee relations items.
Requirements:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.

2. A minimum of 3 years in a professional human resources role demonstrating progressive HR experience.

3. Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet skills are required.
