JOB SUMMARY: The role of the HR Business Partner II is responsible for human resource activities including associate development, associates relations, and compliance. In addition, this role participates in a variety of human resources and line of business/shared services projects and initiatives. The role serves as the HR generalist resource to selected business partners, providing delivery of HR services and business results under the supervision of a Human Resources leader.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate Development:- Under the guidance of an HR leader, provides the following support to a select group of departments: facilitates skill and career development activities; advises leaders on the most effective development initiatives for associates.

Staffing: - Lead the staffing function for client departments. Assist in the development of departmental staffing projections and annual plans in line with SG&A targets. Participate in departmental reviews of SG&A results and help manage to targets. Manage plans and processes for turnover tracking, needs assessment, staffing, recruiting, selection, and succession planning. Conduct recruiting and interviews as required. Facilitate hiring decisions.

Associate Relations: - Consult with leaders on performance and legal issues, or other significant actions that affect associates and the organization. Manage processes for performance improvement, terminations, harassment investigations, Fair & Equitable treatment, and other sensitive issues. Conduct formal and informal sensing of the environment. Lead pro-associate/union-free training, risk and readiness assessment, and contingency planning in client department.

Compensation: - Assist leaders with compensation administration in accordance with enterprise compensation philosophy and principles.

Quality: - Ensure client departments measure productivity and effectiveness. Assist in process improvement efforts where appropriate.

Organizational Design: - Assist with organizational design process inclient departments. Develop an understanding of client departments work processes.

Project/Initiatives Management: - Participate in and coordinate a variety of HR and department projects and initiatives. EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of HR experience PHR or SPHR certification preferred
