Description:
The Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing recruitment processes to provide a talented and diverse workforce that meets business needs. Develops and implements effective recruiting strategies in order to attract and select quality candidates and provide an excellent candidate experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sourcing, screening, and managing the selection process for all levels of positions including nonexempt, exempt, and upper management. Partners with hiring managers to understand business needs and source the best talent. Coaches hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interviewing and candidate selection. Represents the American Family employment brand at community outreach events and recruitment activities.

This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements
-Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
-Demonstrated experience building consultative relationships and strategic partnerships.
-Demonstrated experience performing sourcing and recruitment activities to produce qualified candidate pools for open positions.
-Demonstrated experience using technology to assist in execution of recruitment strategies.
-Solid knowledge and understanding of employment and labor laws and regulations.

-Previous IT Recruiting experience is strongly desired
-Offer to selected candidate will be made contingent on the results of applicable background checks

Job Description:
 
Primary Accountabilities
Recruitment /Candidate Management (30%)
-Manages the recruitment life cycle for all assigned requisitions in the company. Makes the recruiting process easy to understand for candidates and hiring managers.
-Coordinates with Talent Acquisition Representatives to complete all phases of the recruiting process.
-Develops and implements comprehensive sourcing and recruitment strategies to provide qualified and diverse candidate pools to hiring managers.
-Updates position and candidate statuses utilizing an applicant tracking system in compliance with staffing and legal requirements.
-Sources candidates, screens applicants, interviews, evaluates, and recommends candidates to hiring managers.
-Coordinates phone screening, technical screening, on-site and management interviews.
-Recommends candidate assessment tools and techniques to hiring managers.
-Manages the offer process, which includes setting salaries in collaboration with hiring management and Compensation.

Candidate Sourcing (30%)
-Partners with Human Resource Advisors and hiring managers to understand and interpret business unit requirements and position requirements.
-Identifies and contacts individuals with required skills sets using a variety of tools and methods including but not limited to: internet sourcing/advertising, social media, magazine and newspaper advertising, diversity initiatives, employee referral campaigns, direct sourcing, job fairs and third party recruiters.
-Represents the American Family employment brand at community outreach events and recruitment activities (e.g., mock interviews, job fairs, college campus events).
-Identifies and tracks performance of sourcing resources and strategies and shares best-practice information within the unit.
-Communicates with potential candidates and centers of influence on a regular basis to maintain candidate interest in American Family.
-Researches and analyzes geographical and demographic trends specific to each operating territory. Makes recommendations and adjusts strategies based on those trends.

Relationship Building (25%)
-Develops trust and credibility with hiring managers. Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
-Engages in timely and appropriate communications with hiring managers and candidates. Adjusts work schedule as necessary to accommodate business needs of customers and candidates.
-Develops and manages relationships with vendors, colleges, community-based organizations and other external parties to build a high quality and diverse candidate pool.
-Ensures that candidates have a positive experience during the American Family recruitment and selection process. technologies.
-Provides feedback and coaching, as requested, to candidates regarding career opportunities.
-Develops and maintains consultative relationships with managers to provide expertise, coaching, and guidance in recruitment methods and guidance in recruitment methods and technologies.

Project Support (10%)
-Leads or supports staffing projects and initiatives such as internal reorganizations, selection and implementation of recruitment tools and technologies, process improvement efforts, etc.
-Leads or participate in divisional and cross-divisional committees.

Legal Awareness and Best Practices (5%)
-Promotes recruitment processes and practices that are legally compliant and defensible. Stays current with employment law by attending seminars, programs, and training sessions.
-Participates in educational opportunities and networks with industry peers to identify and maintain strong awareness of recruitment best practices.
