Position Summary
You will lead the Compensation practice at WPS, ensuring great design, deployment and administration of compensation programs and procedures that drive a performance-based culture, impacting 3,000+ employees across the U.S., and helping WPS attract and retain great talent!

In this role you will:
  • Provide compensation strategy in alignment with WPS’s business objectives, People Strategy and performance-based culture
  • Provide thought leadership, expertise and innovative solutions on complex compensation initiatives and issues
  • Lead and develop compensation team to ensure team is productive, engaged and delivers seamless employee experience
  • Lead the design and implementation of all existing and new compensation programs and policies
  • Lead efforts to address root cause of compensation issues, streamline, automate, and otherwise improve processes
You should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; OR equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience
  • 8+ years of experience in HR to include 5 years of experience in developing and administering compensation programs
  • 3+ years of leadership experience either leading projects and/or teams
  • Proficient in the use of compensation data management tools
In addition, we prefer:
  • Experience with implementing pay-for-performance programs
  • SHRM-CP, CCP or equivalent certification
