We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Human Resources team as a Benefits Specialist. This position is responsible for administering all employee benefit programs.
We are looking for an individual who possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, or Business and one year of Human Resource experience in benefit plan administration or an Associate's degree and two years administrative experience in Human Resources in benefit plan administration. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite. Confidentiality is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities Range:

Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, and administers benefits in accordance with them.

Administers leave of absences, incluing short-and long-term disability, FMLA, and personal and military leaves.

Enters and maintains employee records and PHI files.

Prepares and submits goverment-mandated reports (i.e., 1095-C documents, Section 125 Non-Discriminsation Testing, etc.)

Keeps employee records up-to-date by accurately processing employee status changes in employee record-keeping systems.

Condusts new hire orientations and day one onboarding activities.

Assists with the facilitation of the open enrollment process.

Coordinates transfer of data to external benefits vnedors, plan providrs, auditors, and consultants.

Develops relationships with internal customers, leaders, and vendors, etc., that facilitate open dialogue and trust.

Participates in the planning, implementation, and ongoing administration of employee benefit programs such as health insuracne, disability insurance, life insurance, employee assistance programs, 401K, and other plans.
