We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Human Resources Assistant. This position will be based out of Corporate Office facility on the east side of Madison, WI, ranked the “Best Place to Live 2015” by Livability.com.  The position may require occasional travel to our Middleton or Watertown, WI locations.  This position works Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
 
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day administrative tasks necessary to ensure the efficient operation of Human Resources Department and Corporate office. He or she will be positioned at the front desk.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Provide administrative support to Human Resources and other Corporate departments, which requires strict confidentiality.  This may include:
·         HR Administrative Support
o   Process new hires, terminations, job changes, and benefits enrollment.
o   Schedule interviews and conduct reference checks.
o   Create spreadsheets, presentations, posters, newsletters, memos and emails.
o   Assist with organizing employee events.
o   Administer employee appreciation giveaways.
o   Conduct audit of billing and enrollment.
o   Maintaining personnel files. 
o   Conduct research or special projects.
·         Reception/General Office
o   Answer and direct phone calls; greet and assist visitors and vendors.
o   Assist internal customers by providing information or answering questions.
o   Travel to store or bank to pick up items.
o   Organize meals for meetings.
o   Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail/packages.
o   Order and stock office with office supplies, coffee, fruit, water and soda.
·         Conduct general office duties such as photocopying, filing, scanning, entering data in our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), creating and distributing paper and electronic documents in Microsoft Office and Sharepoint, etc.
·         Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
·         Maintain regular attendance at work.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
·         High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Human Resources preferred.
·         Minimum 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
·         Previous administrative experience in human resources strongly preferred.
·         Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
·         Experience with Sharepoint and/or ADP (HRIS) would be helpful.
·         Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
