Shirley Davis, Ph.D.
Director, Diversity and Inclusion
Society for Human Resource Management

Summary

The global workforce is currently experiencing major shifts in its demographic landscape, its economic and political climate, and its business environment. These shifts are impacting markets, customer and employee expectations, and organizational strategies. They are also bringing new opportunities and new challenges to Human Resources and Diversity professionals.

What changes, worries, and new ideas are keeping you up at night?

In this 90-minute webinar, Dr. Shirley Davis will discuss the challenges and opportunities today's HR and Diversity professionals are confronting. As the Director of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives at the Society for Human Resource Management, the world's largest HR association, Dr. Davis serves as the SHRM "thought leader" on global diversity and inclusion issues. Her broad experience and deep knowledge of the latest issues, research, and innovations in diversity practices make her an exceptional resource for benchmarking leading organizations and jump-starting important new initiatives and approaches.

In Dr. Davis's view, HR and Diversity professionals must build stronger links between the business cases for diversity, innovative strategies that enable organizational success, and the accountability measures that demonstrate value and impact.

In particular, participants will gain new strategies and new ideas for:
  1. engaging senior leadership
  2. building a strategic business case for diversity and inclusion
  3. establishing a pipeline of leadership capability
  4. making the links between HR/Diversity strategies to business objectives, globalization strategies
  5. preparing to address other emerging issues such as healthcare and religion/spirituality
  6. remaining relevant during changing times
  7. mitigating risks to your organization's reputation and bottom line
This interactive and provocative session will provide HR and Diversity Professionals with at least ten innovative strategies they must implement in order to prepare their organizations to compete in a more global and diverse world. We encourage you to bring your diversity team and key line managers to this practical and content-rich discussion.

Dr. Shirley Davis is Director of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives at the Society for Human Resource Management, the world's largest HR association with more than 250,000 members in 140 countries, and over 575 chapters.
