2012 Wisconsin State College Relations Conference & HR Games - Mark your calendars now for March 2 & 3, 2012 for the next conference. Congratulations to UW - Platteville for receiving the bid award to host the event !
Good Day Student SHRM Chapter Representatives!
For those of you that were not able to make it to the 2011 College Relations Conference & HR games, you missed out on a good time. We had 12 HR Games competition teams this year with some great match-ups which made it even more interesting. Alonzo Kelly was our Keynote on Saturday and gave a presentation to the group on Understanding the New Applicant Pool. The break-out speakers talked about FMLA, Selling Yourself to get a Job, Terminations, HR Law and Collective Bargaining. Thank you to Marian University’s student chapter members and advisor, Beth Bayless, for being GREAT hosts this year. Also thank you to the Fond du Lac AHRA Professional SHRM Chapter for all of your support and volunteer base!!!
Awards were given for the top 4 teams in the HR Games competition as follows:
1st Place – UW Madison – “Taxideinae”
2nd Place – UW Whitewater – “Casual Fridays”
3rd Place – St. Norbert College – “Happy Knights”
4th Place – Marian University – “Marian Madness”
Now, we look towards the 2012 Conference which will take place on March 2 and 3, 2012.
